We provide easy-to-understand explanations of the locations of disignated smoking areas located inside the ticket gates of JR Tokyo Station and on “Shinkansen” platforms using diagrams and photos to help anyone get confused.
It is known that there are smoking areas on the Shinkansen platforms at Tokyo Station, but the locations vary from platform, and if you can’t find one properly, you may have to walk a long distance.
We have created a map of smoking areas for each platform, so we hope you find it useful.
Please note that there are no smoking areas on conventional train platforms.
